Replenish is a concentrated electrolyte and vitamin solution that tops up your depleted electrolyte levels whilst also giving you a much needed boost of glucose, B & C vitamins (including bio available folic acid) to help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Low electrolyte levels that have been depleted through vomiting, or lack of good nutrition due to nausea, can lead to a range of symptoms from fatigue, through to ironically, nausea and vomiting!
By replenishing the levels in your cells, and adding in B vitamins that help to convert the sugar to energy more efficiently, Replenish provides a convenient, easily consumable solution.
All of this is squeezed into a solution that is just 28ml, so you don’t have to drink litres of it to get the electrolytes and vitamins you need.
Electrolytes - Replenish contains the essential electrolytes that your body gets low on when you are vomiting and not able to eat and drink normally. These electrolytes help to maintain the fluid balance in your body, maintain your blood’s pH and enable key systems such as the nervous, muscular, cardiovascular, and central nervous systems to function properly.
B vitamins - We have included a whole host of B vitamins and they all have their specific roles to play: B1, B2, B3, B5 & B12 all help you to release energy from the glucose (and any food you manage consume), B6 is often used to reduce nausea in Pregnancy Sickness, and B12 also aids the absorption of folate (folic acid).
Vitamin C - Contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue as well as increasing iron absorption, which is essential for keeping energy levels up.
Folic Acid - Instead of man made Folic Acid, we have included methylfolate (5-MTHF, or you might hear it being called the more bio-available or bio-active form of folic acid) which is what your body has to convert Folic Acid into before it can be absorbed.

Replenish is definitely not a cure for "morning sickness"- it provides you with a palatable way of taking the electrolytes and vitamins that you are not getting if you are not able to consume a normal diet because of pregnancy sickness.
Low electrolyte levels can worsen your symptoms and actually make your nausea and vomiting worse.

Replenish can be used first thing in the morning and early to mid afternoon if you are not able to consume a normal diet, to provide many of the vitamins and minerals you would normally get from your meals, even if you are not regularly being sick.
We recommend that you take 2 sachets per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
They should be consumed straight from the sachet, no need to add to water, just tear off and sip.

Taste and smell are so important when you are feeling nauseous, so we have spent a long time perfecting the taste of Replenish.
Replenish has a very mild lemon flavour using a natural lemon flavour, as this is widely accepted as the most tolerated flavour for those with pregnancy sickness.
It actually contains very little flavouring (if we could make it taste of nothing we would have done, but it’s just not possible!) and the lemon juice is balanced nicely by the sugar (glucose - a simple sugar found naturally in your body) to ensure that Replenish is neither too bitter nor too sweet.
Let's be honest, if you’re suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and on your worst days when you can't even keep water down, then it’s unlikely that you will be able to keep Replenish down either.
However, on all but your worst days the concentrated form of Replenish means that if you can take this small amount of liquid (just 28ml) it will provide you with essential electrolyte and vitamin without huge amounts of liquids or large tablets.
The volume! Most electrolyte drinks need to be mixed with 1 litre of water and we know that with severe nausea that can present a major challenge.

Yes! This is not a rehydration product.
We know consuming large volumes of liquid can be hard work, which is why we created Replenish to be just 28ml - but just take it slowly - little sips at a time, and you can also try eating watery foods if that works for you - cucumber, watermelon, or many people find sucking on ice lollies helps to not only increase their fluid intake, but also helps with their nausea.
Have you seen the the size of folic acid tablets? They might have been fine before pregnancy when you were feeling ship shape, but often swallowing a tablet (and flushing it down with lots of water!) is a challenge if you have Pregnancy Sickness.
This is a game changer - two of these sachets per day will give you your recommended 400µg recommended daily allowance during pregnancy (especially during the first trimester) and you get all the other benefits from the electrolytes and glucose included as well!
Folic Acid is actually good to have all the time - it’s also known as Vitamin B9 and helps with blood formation, supports the immune system and reduces tiredness, so even if you’re past your first trimester, it’s a great vitamin to include.

We get that seeing pictures of beautiful, happy pregnant women pisses you off.
We get that just getting through another day is a huge achievement at the moment.
We get that you feel constantly guilty - about not nourishing your body, about wanting to give your baby the best start, about taking time off of work, about spending another day in bed whilst someone has to look after your other kids, the guilt list is endless. We get it.
Hi, we’re Laura & Laura - two mums who met in 2022 and discovered that between us we had the skills to develop an idea that Laura had been researching and developing since experiencing severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum(HG) when her daughter Lottie was born 5 years ago.
We are a small, startup business. Replenish is the trading name of Electrovitality Ltd which the two of us have set up and we hope that this will be the first of a range of targeted products designed specifically with the needs and tastes of people suffering from nausea and vomiting.
As with any good business idea, Replenish was conceived from the need for a product that didn’t currently exist.
During her pregnancy with her daughter, Laura battled Hyperemesis Gravidarum, enduring relentless nausea and sickness and repeated hospital stays, and was told that there was very little she could do to help herself other than sip liquids and eat a gingernut!
Feeling completely depleted Laura started delving into research on the effects of pregnancy on the female body, in particular one study that looked at parallels between the increase in metabolic rate in endurance athletes and expectant mothers. Whilst endurance athletes are able to perform at high levels for up to 20 days, expectant mothers' metabolic rate is increased for 9 months!
Intrigued by these findings and desperate for relief, Laura turned her attention to the strategies employed by endurance athletes to sustain themselves through gruelling feats. She observed the use of concentrated supplements, designed to address the unique nutritional needs of athletes, which sparked an idea..
Fuelled by her personal struggle and driven by a desire to help others facing similar challenges, Laura embarked on a mission to develop a solution tailored specifically to the needs of women battling Pregnancy Sickness.
And so Replenish was born! Every ingredient within Replenish serves a purpose, carefully selected to address the unique nutritional needs of women experiencing pregnancy sickness.
We have pulled together a fantastic team that consists of two doctors, and a midwife and nutritionist, and an expert in the supplement industry, who have helped us to develop this product based on all the latest research into rehydration and absorption, including the World Health Organisations reduced Oral Rehydration Solution guidelines. PREGNANCY SICKNESS QUESTIONS
Apologies for calling it morning sickness - we try to use the term Pregnancy Sickness all the time, but as the term morning sickness is still so commonly used, we need people to be able to find us!
Pregnancy Sickness, commonly still known (wrongly!) as morning sickness often starts at 5-6 weeks, as pregnancy hormones start to increase.
These hormones normally peak between 8-10 weeks when you may find your nausea and sickness is at its worst, and then, for most people, it will calm down by weeks 12-14.
However, every body is different and it is not uncommon for symptoms to start earlier (particularly if you are suffering from moderate or severe Pregnancy Sickness) and it can last to around 20 weeks, or in severe cases throughout the entire pregnancy.
Pregnancy sickness is often referred to as Morning Sickness as that’s when symptoms can be worse for some people, but as most sufferers know - it can occur at any time of the day and night.
It is thought that the nausea is worse first thing in the morning due to firstly, the levels of pregnancy related hormones (human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and oestrogen) peaking in the morning, and secondly, the stomach being empty after being asleep.
Many sufferers find that consuming something as soon as they wake up can help with their nausea - that’s why we recommend one sachet of Replenish first thing in the morning, and then another one early afternoon.
Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is a severe and persistent form of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It goes beyond typical pregnancy sickness; it's more intense, lasts longer, and can lead to serious health problems if not treated.
Pregnancy sickness is a sadly common part of early pregnancy, typically starting around weeks 5 to 6 and often improves by week 12 to 14. It usually involves mild to moderate nausea and occasional vomiting.
In contrast, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is a more severe condition that may start earlier and cause persistent, intense vomiting, making it difficult or impossible to keep down food or fluids. HG often leads to dehydration, significant weight loss (more than 5% of pre-pregnancy weight), and can be debilitating, affecting your ability to function normally.
While morning sickness can often be managed with dietary changes and lifestyle changes, HG (and sometimes moderate Pregnancy Sickness) typically requires medical treatment, such as IV fluids, anti-nausea medication, and ongoing care.
HG is not just "bad morning sickness" - it is a serious medical condition that needs prompt attention.
If you're suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) in the UK, it's important to know that help and treatment are available.
Your first point of contact should be your NHS GP or midwife, who can assess your symptoms, use tools like the PUQE score, and prescribe anti-sickness medications such as cyclizine, promethazine, or ondansetron.
If you're unable to keep down food or fluids and are at risk of dehydration or weight loss, your healthcare provider can refer you to your local Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) or maternity assessment unit for hospital care. These units offer treatments such as IV fluids and antiemetic medications, either through day units or inpatient care depending on your severity.
You can also access support through the UK charity Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS), which offers a helpline, peer support, and practical resources to help you advocate for the treatment you need.
PSS connects you with trained volunteers who have experienced HG themselves and can provide emotional support and guidance. They also offer information for partners and carers, as well as downloadable resources for healthcare professionals.
If you are experiencing severe nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, do not hesitate to seek help. Hyperemesis Gravidarum is a serious medical condition, and with the right support and treatment, you don’t have to go through it alone.
There is currently no definitive cure for pregnancy sickness, but there are many safe and effective ways to manage the symptoms.
In 2024, Cambridge University published new research on Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and severe pregnancy sickness. They focused on a hormone called GDF15, which is normally made by the body in response to stress or damage. During pregnancy, however, GDF15 levels rise because it is also produced by the foetus.
The researchers found that the severity of pregnancy sickness depends on two things:
- How much GDF15 the baby produces (which varies from pregnancy to pregnancy)
- How much GDF15 the mother had before pregnancy — women with naturally low levels are more sensitive to the sudden increase.
This discovery gives scientists new insight into what causes HG and offers real hope for future treatments or prevention.
For most people, symptoms improve naturally by around week 12 to 14, as hormone levels begin to stabilise. In the meantime, many find relief through dietary adjustments, such as eating small, frequent meals, avoiding trigger foods, and staying hydrated.
There are also safe treatments available, including Vitamin B6 supplements, antihistamines like doxylamine, and prescription anti-nausea medications such as cyclizine, promethazine, or ondansetron. These are often prescribed when symptoms are moderate to severe and can make a big difference in daily comfort.
While there’s no “cure” in the traditional sense, pregnancy sickness can be managed, and support is available. Don’t hesitate to speak with your GP or midwife if your symptoms are affecting your daily life.
The PUQE score stands for Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis and is a tool used to assess the severity of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, particularly for conditions like morning sickness or hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).
How the PUQE score works:
The PUQE score involves a short questionnaire with three main questions regarding the frequency and intensity of nausea and vomiting over the last 24 hours. Each question is scored, and the total score is then used to categorise the severity of symptoms.
If you are not sure if you should be seeking medical attention (although if you’re feeling so bad that you are questioning it, then you probably should be!) we have created a PUQE score test that will tell you how your sickness would be classified, and give you clear guidance on your next step to getting help.

There is strong evidence that Vitamin B6 in high doses can help with morning sickness, and it will probably be one of the first courses of treatment you will be offered by your GP if your morning sickness is moderate or severe.
However, the recommended daily amount in the EU is still very low at 1.4mg, and even the tolerable upper intake level set by the EU has been reduced to 12.5mg, so any high doses should only be taken under advice from your GP or midwife.

The role of these vitamins is to help maximise the energy release from the glucose in the sachet, and any other food that you have been able to consume, whilst contributing to reducing the tiredness and fatigue that comes from vomiting and your body working hard during your pregnancy.
At Replenish, we prefer the term Pregnancy Sickness because nausea and vomiting during pregnancy can happen at any time of day, not just in the morning. However, since “morning sickness” is still the most widely searched and recognized term, we occasionally use both so that people can easily find us and the information they need!
There is strong clinical evidence that Vitamin B6 (also known as pyridoxine) can help reduce nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. In fact, high-dose Vitamin B6 is often one of the first treatment options recommended by doctors and midwives for women experiencing moderate to severe morning sickness.
However, it’s important to be cautious with high doses. The recommended daily intake of Vitamin B6 in the EU is 1.4mg, and the tolerable upper limit has been reduced to just 12.5mg. For this reason, you should only take higher doses of B6 under the advice of your GP or midwife.
